Fertilizers....its all so confusing! It seems there are hundreds of “different kinds” of fertilizers on the market today.

A trip to any local garden center will reveal an abundance of kinds sure to confuse all but the very knowledgeable homeowner.

Two Types

Basically, there are two types of fertilizers: granular and liquid.
Granular fertilizers have been used on home lawns for years, while liquid fertilizers are
relatively new to the scene. You’ll hear various people state granular is by far the better
type of fertilizer, while others will tell you the liquid fertilizers are better.
While Wagner uses a high quality granular product, it is our opinion that granular and liquid fertilizers are equal in effectiveness if applied correctly at the right time.
