Weed Control…………the natural way.
After the Liberals province-wide ban on cosmetic pesticides in 2009, in May 2010 we announced that a new iron-
based bio-herbicide product, “Fiesta™” was approved for use in Ontario.
Over last 10 years we have learned a great deal about Fiesta and how to get the best weed control from its use.
We now know that multiple applications of Fiesta, over time, is required for desired results. Also, after researching
with several test plots, we learned that adding a thickener to Fiesta increases the effectiveness of the spray – helping
the spray stick to the weed and getting it absorbed better – resulting in better efficacy.
We also know, that for optimum results, utilizing Fiesta must be in combination with other cultural practices like
fertilizing, aerating and overseeding. Hence, we only will treat weeds if done in conjunction with our Green Program.
